Join women and women identifying faculty to talk about how we teach. These semi-structure discussions will center around a brief reading or passage that we will read together and discuss together. The goal of these sessions is to create a low-commitment opportunity to discuss best practices and strategies to develop a holistic teaching and learning philosophy. These sessions are designed for novice and veteran instructors. We will read the work of scholars such as bell hooks (Teaching to Transgress), Laura Rendón (Sentipensante Pedagogy), and Berg and Seeber (The Slow Professor). Four 1-hour sessions are scheduled and participants should feel free to attend all or just one. Refreshments provided.
