The Torero Entrepreneurship Challenge (TECh) team invites students from all disciplines across campus to present their life-changing technology-based innovations on April 12, 2024. Our mission is to cultivate the problem solvers, the builders, and the visionaries who will solve our planet's most critical issues. Students will compete for a total of up to $20,000 in seed money for TECh 2024.

This orientation is intended as a backup for those who are unable to attend the February 6th Orientation.

Leading the Session

Venkat Shastri and Jeff Teza share their real world experiences from leading and advising startups and how USD students can build compelling ventures to pitch at the competition. 

What Will Be Covered

Students will be able to sharpen their venture ideas and address these critical questions in preparation for the TECh Competition on April 12th:

  • What is TECh?
  • What does the competition look like?
  • How is success measured in this competition?
  • How can I develop a successful presentation?
  • How many prizes are available? What are the prizes?

All USD students are welcome to the challenge.
