The CEE Team invites you to join us for a free 1.5-hour visit to the Timken Museum of Art, guided by USD’s very own Dr. Derrick Cartwright, Art, Architecture + Art History, and Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Timken Museum of Art. Tour, reflect, and get inspired by the museum's permanent collection and special exhibitions.
This event is part of the CEE’s new Faculty Excursions initiative: Explore San Diego with the CEE. We coordinate all the logistics. You show up with a curious mind. It’s an opportunity to:
- Learn something new that may inspire new teaching ideas.
- Connect with colleagues across campus.
- Visit unique and meaningful local spaces in San Diego.
Intended Audience: All faculty
Facilitator: Derrick Cartwright is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art, Architecture + Art History at USD, where he has taught art history since 2012. He is also the Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Timken Museum of Art, a position he has held since 2016.
