The Office of Sustainability invites USD students to register for the first-ever Student Sustainability Summit! This newly created annual event is an opportunity for students to learn about the university’s progress towards achieving the 2016 Climate Action Plan (CAP) goals, and provide their thoughts, concerns, and ideas about how the university can continue to be more sustainable in the areas of: Transportation, Water and Land Management, Food, and Consumerism. Results and outcomes from the summit will be used to help inform the updated version of the CAP, scheduled to be undertaken in 2023.
Come make your voice heard!
Event Format:
- Overview of USD’s 2016 Climate Action Plan and progress to date
- Students select their topic of interest and participate in facilitated discussion
- Summary of results, next steps, and opportunities for continued participation
