Theology and Religious Studies Professors Aaron Bianco and Emily Reimer-Barry presented papers at the Amoris Laetitia conference held at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome last May, and in this lunch session, will share their major takeaways from the conference and from meeting Pope Francis.

Amoris Laetitia was promulgated in 2016 and focuses on the complex realities of family life. In their presentations, Bianco and Reimer-Barry encouraged further developments of church teachings that take seriously the lived experiences of LGBTQ Catholics and women.
