Sports Fields
Campus Recreation has one multi-purpose field, which features "Sprint Turf" and stadium lighting:
- Manchester Field: 115 yards x 70 yds (approx)
Field usage is restricted to USD campus community members only. The field schedule changes on a daily basis. Athletic teams, Intramural sports, Club Sports and pre-scheduled special events have priority. Recreation use is not permitted when any of these listed groups are using the fields. This field is not open to the public unless through pre-approved events.
The Sports Center is open for use only by authorized members of the USD community, including current students, faculty, staff and active Facility Use Pass holders. Facility Use Pass policies are subject to change and are at the discretion of Campus Recreation and Athletics.
You must present your current identification card (Torero ID or Facility Use Pass Member ID) to enter the Sports Center. Your ID card is also required to check out equipment. Please note that the Recreation staff may request to see your ID card at any time while using a sports/fitness facility or field. Campus Recreation and Student Wellness have the right to deny access or services to any individual at any time.
Patrons may only use facilities during posted open hours. They may not use the facilities when they are labeled as closed. The Sports Center closes areas 15-mins prior to the final facility and locker room closing time. All patrons must be out of the area by the indicated tine then out of the facility and locker room by the final closing time. Hours are indicated online.
No "large group" may take over a Recreation facility space without having a pre-approved group reservation. While we post pick up/open times for varied areas, please know that these areas are for the entire campus community and are first come, first serve. "Large groups" are defined by the space they would impact for a given area. This is at the discretion of Campus Recreation and varies depending on other facility use activity/space.
