Mission:
Campus Recreation supports student learning by providing opportunities to be active, develop leadership skills, cultivate community, and persist in experiences proven to enhance well-being. We are committed to providing welcoming and well-maintained facilities with an emphasis on compassionate service. We encourage individuals to include a little recreation in their daily life and embrace our motto "LEARN. LIVE. PLAY. THE RECREATION WAY."
Vision:
Campus Recreation strives to offer a variety of fitness, wellness and adventure opportunities that integrate habits promoting health in mind, body and spirit. We aim to offer diverse, multi-level programs that foster personal development within a supportive community.
Facilities
Campus Recreation includes the following facilities:
- Sports Center
- Manchester Field
Any person with an active Torero ID card or active Facilities Use Pass may utilize the Sports Center facility during posted informal hours of operation per area. ID cards are required to be presented upon entry. Manchester Field is not open to the public and not included with a Facilities Use Pass.
Priority use for all Recreation facilities is:
- Intercollegiate Athletics practices/games
- Recreation Sponsored Activities (i.e. Recreation Classes, Intramurals, Club practice, etc.)
- Informal use
- Special one-time event requests

Campus Recreation is dedicated to providing inclusive services, programs, and facilities to all persons. - Bigotry or disparagement of others has no place within Campus Recreation facilities, programs, or services.
- Verbal or written abuse, threats, intimidation, violence, or other forms of harassment towards participants or staff will not be tolerated.
- All participants and staff are expected to respect the rights of others and to be civil, respectful citizens of the USD community.
- Campus Recreation patrons may participate in programs and utilize facilities based on their gender identity.
Campus Recreation reserves the right to suspend participation in our programs or facility usage to any person who violates our community guidelines.
