Join College of Arts and Sciences Dean Noelle Norton for a special conversation with two Bay Area alumni artists Alexander Bryan '05 and Linda Geary '82. This panel will focus on their experiences in graphic design, painting and what the future looks like for creators. 

There will be an opportunity for a Q&A at the end of the program.

This event is co-hosted by the Bay Area Torero Club and the College of Arts and Sciences.

About Alexander:
Alexander Bryan has lived, breathed, loved, obsessed over, pined for (you get the idea) design his whole life. He brings in-depth design knowledge, a penchant for bold colors and hearty dislike of commas to everything he does. A tech enthusiast and design whiz, Alex has a proven track record helping companies evolve their brands through user experiences that connect with audiences on multiple levels. Across different mediums and industries, he’s delivered amazing results for his clients like Los Angeles World Airports, Australian Embassy - South Korea, Hilton Hotels, Westfield, and more.

About Linda:
Linda Geary’s work has been shown in New York, Los Angeles, Portland, San Francisco, and Otranto, Italy, including exhibitions at Berkeley Art Museum/ Pacific Film Archive, Oakland Museum, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and Mills College. She is the recipient of an Elizabeth Foundation grant and the Pollock-Krasner grants. Studio Visit 2013, was a year-long book project of one hundred studio visits around the Bay Area, with an introduction by Norma Cole. Reviews include Art In America, Art Forum, Art Practical, KQED, Huffington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, and Squarecylinder. Her permanent public mosaic, River, was recently installed and will open in the new wing at San Francisco Airport International Terminal in summer 2021. She is Professor and Chair of Painting at California College of the Arts in San Francisco, and lives and works in Oakland.
