Join us at 1:15 p.m. in the staging area located at the County Administration Building Parking lot 1600 Pacific Highway. The parade begins at 2 p.m. Wear your USD Torero blue!
This parade is coordinated by the Zeta Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, the oldest Black fraternity in America, of which Dr. King was a member. This is one of the largest celebrations of its kind in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the United States. The parade is filled with dazzling floats, soulful high school bands, drill teams, colleges, fraternities, churches, organizations, peace groups and youth groups.
