Mission
Torero Urban Scholars seeks to build a Prison to Higher Education pipeline for justice-impacted students at USD.
This program not only allows justice-impacted students to learn how to survive but teaches them how to thrive in a place such as USD.
The opportunity to show the next generation, still unsure how, when, or if they will get to enjoy higher education, is what makes this program so special.
The greatest safety for me after my release is having people to confide in who have a similar lived experience.
