MS in Humanitarian Action

MS-HA Program

Training to respond to humanitarian emergencies

The Master of Science in Humanitarian Action (MS-HA) is a 30-credit Master’s degree designed as an online program for working professionals from around the world in, or with aspirations to enter, the humanitarian field.

The online MS-HA program trains students to assess humanitarian needs, manage the complex landscape of local, national, and international actors; and design and evaluate innovative solutions to humanitarian crises.

Please Note: Due to regulations from the U.S. Department of Education, the University of San Diego is unable to enroll students in its online programs who reside in Alabama, Arkansas, District of Columbia, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin. Students residing in these states and the District of Columbia are invited to apply for our in-person instruction program offerings.

The MS-HA program aims to deliver core knowledge and competencies recognized by employers in the field as critical to the success of humanitarian aid workers.
